This survey was conducting between Jan 2015 and June 2015 and consisted of a total of 50 questions relating to the PI industry. The above data are from one question to verifiable licensed private investigators from 5 countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia and South Africa). Respondents had an average of 12.5 years of experience (licensed PI experience only). The investigators were asked via email and US mail to rate the above specializations on a scale of “highly recommendable” to “not recommended” relating to their beliefs on the specializations for future potential profitability only. To interpret the data, investigators rated Process Serving as the least profitable business and believe Opposition Research has the greatest potential for the highest profits.

Please note: These results are subjective and jurisdictional variations do occur, as there are many factors to consider before beginning a new specialty for your business.
